Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a split unit and a ceiling cassette?

A split unit is mounted on the wall and suits homes well. A ceiling cassette sits in or against the ceiling and spreads the air in four directions; we mostly see them in shops, offices and restaurants and cafes.

Can air conditioning also heat?

Yes, most air conditioning units we install can both cool and heat.

How long does installation take?

That depends on the number of units and the length of the pipework. We discuss the schedule beforehand.

Does air conditioning make a lot of noise?

Indoor and outdoor units are designed to run quietly. We position the outdoor unit so it does not bother you or your neighbours.

Do I need a permit for an outdoor unit?

That differs per municipality and per building, for example with an owners' association (VvE) or a listed building. Check the local rules before planning the installation.

Does air conditioning need maintenance?

Clean filters matter; further checks depend on your system. See our maintenance service.
